There was some great stuff happening at the College on Friday afternoon. Mr Devery organised a demonstration of some ‘old school’ skills which involved some ‘horsing around’. A more detailed report will be posted soon.

Visual Literacy Using iPads

At present we are putting together an eBook that documents the journey of the College from blackboards to iPads. This is part of the 2012 iLearn Project that is funded by the Catholic Education Office for new initiatives across the archdiocese.

Our Year 7 English classes are currently looking at visual literacy. This video gives an insight into the work done in one of our Year 7 classes.

Personal Creed

Our Year 7 students explored the Nicene Creed in our last unit in Religion. The unit, ‘God and People in Creation’ allowed the students to explore many aspects of the Creation story. To help them appreciate the words we say each week at mass they were asked to create their own creed. Here is a sample from Harrison from 7/303.
